SOLIVAN, member firm of Pontes The CEE Lawyers, have advised German project developer WKN on the sale of the Polish wind farms "Barwice" and "Jasna"

Solivan, member firm of Pontes The CEE lawyers, have advised leading German project developer WKN, member of listed PNE Group, on the sale of the Polish wind farms "Barwice" (42 MW) at the end of 2018, and now also on the sale of the "Jasna" (132 MW), both ready for construction and awarded with a contract for difference after November 2018 auction. The purchasers have been German family office Wirtgen Invest for Barwice wind farm and Stadtwerke München, one of the largest German utilities, for Jasna wind farm. Those transactions constitute the quickest and largest portfolio sale after November 2018 auction in Poland. Construction of both wind farms is expected to be complete at mid of 2020. 

The Solivan Pontes team advising on Polish legal matters was led by Christian Schnell, head of the Energy M&A team, joined by Associate Piotr Dziwniel. Wirtgen Invest was represented by SSW Law & Tax Warsaw, whereas Stadtwerke München was advised by CMS Hasche Sigle Stuttgart, and supported CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang, Warsaw office.
